Judge's Son Arrested for $1.5 Million Heist.

ANTHONY CARLEO

An arrest has been made in relation to the Dec. 14, 2010 robbery executed on the Las Vegas Bellagio casino.  A sum of $1.5 Million in casino chips was taken.  Carleo, 29, was charged with burglary and armed robbery with a deadly weapon and was booked at Clark County Detention Center in Vegas.

Carleo's father was interviewed and had the following to say;
"I think it goes without saying that as a father, I am devastated and heartbroken to see my son arrested under these circumstances, as is the rest of his family. As a working member of the judiciary, however, I am bound by the judicial canons of ethics and therefore cannot discuss any pending legal matter as it relates to anyone, including my son" SOURCEYahoo News.
The arrest was made Thursday, February 3, 2011 following tips from a member of the general public and a dealer at the casino who spoke to Carleo just four days prior.  Police also revealed in a statement that the suspect may also be linked to another robbery involving the Suncoast Casino the week before.

The Game: "I Want To Put G-Unit Back Together"

L to R: 50 Cent [Curtis Jackson], The Game [Jayceon Terrell Taylor].

Rapper "The Game" has made it known that he is willing to put all differences aside with his former G-Unit entourage but the question remains as to how willing The Unit is to accept him back as one of their own.  "Game" was kicked out of G-Unit by 50 Cent following a well publicized feud involving the G-Unit camp and then 50 Cent rivals Jadakiss and Fat Joe.  50 has quashed his beef with Jadakiss but still remains on ill terms with Fat Joe.  The feud was sparked following a collaboration the two previously stated artists did with 50's arch nemesis Ja Rule titled "New York".

"Game" stated he didn't have an issue with Jada or Fat Joe and decided to remain neutral as the two individuals were close friends but 50 Cent took this as a sign of disloyalty.  50 announced during a radio interview on New York City's Hot 97 Radio that he didn't consider Game part of G-Unit any more.  The individuals have been feuding since 2005 and G-Unit members show no interest of re-uniting with Game.  Here's a clip of a USTREAM interview featuring G-Unit member Tony Yayo;

CLIP: TONY YAYO USTREAM INTERVIEW [EXPLICIT CONTENT]

It's clear the Unit still holds a grudge against the California born and bred emcee.  Whether or not the two parties will ever come to terms and put their differences behind them is open for speculation.  But thus far, the possibility appears highly unlikely.

Lloyd Banks: Enjoying Being Indie ("I Want Interscope To Apologize To me")

CHRISTOPHER LLOYD [LLOYD BANKS]

A lot of buzz is surrounding Lloyd Banks' latest studio project "The Hunger For More 2" [H.F.M. 2] released November 22nd, 2010.  This was his third solo album following "The Hunger For More" (2004) and "Rotten Apple" (2007).

Banks was dropped from Interscope Records in 2009 but bounced back hard with his Independent Project "H.F.M. 2."  Interscope tried to resign Banks but he declined the offer and remained with EMI Records (he is still under 50 Cent's G-Unit Records).  The attempt to get Banks back on the roster stemmed from the success of the single "Beamer, Benz, and Bentley," which featured Skull Gang General Juelz Santana.

Banks shows no signs of slowing down as he continues to drop mixtapes and blazing the streets with his album.  Here's a song from HFM2 called "Fly In The Wind" and features Jim Jones.

Banks stated in an interview that he is enjoying being independent and jokingly said he expects an apology from Interscope Records if he is to consider re-signing with them.  He is currently under the G-Unit/EMI imprint, which has inked a deal to distribute G-Unit albums. Word on the street is the new move to EMI also includes  the rest of the G-Unit roster; 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Spider Loc (#WhereHeBeenAt??), and Mazaradi Fox.  Yayo's album is scheduled to follow Banks' HFM2.  It is also speculated that the new move will also re-unite the crew with former G-Unit President Sha-Money XL, who took an A&R position at Def Jam.

REFLECTION: It looks like Banks going Indie was definitely a good move on his part; shows you can overcome all odds if you set your mind to it. #HFM2. But you have to ask how smart the move to EMI really is, as it has the smallest market share of the 4 majors (including Sony Music Ent., Warner Music Group, and Universal Music Group). I guess only time will tell.

Mr. Mathers Rakes in Big: $1 Million For Super Bowl Commercial.

MARSHALL MATHERS [EMINEM]

Rapper and Shady Records C.E.O. Eminem will be receiving more than $1 Million dollars to do a commercial that will be aired during Super Bowl XLV on Sunday, February, 2011 between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers.  The game is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 PM on FOX.

Interestingly enough, the rapper will simply be lending his voice to a Claymation character in a Lipton Brisk Ice-Tea commercial.  According to insiders, the commercial is apparently very funny and shows a lighter side of Slim Shady, and apparently provides a glimpse into Eminem's daily life.  #Can'tWaitToSeeIt.

Underground Pick Of The Day: Dope Ghetto a.k.a. Dope G

"Merry Go Round" - Dope G ft. Jay Rox. [Explicit Content]

Dope Ghetto  performs "Merrry Go Round" alongside Jay Rox, both members of the Zambian Elite Hip Hop Group  "The Zone Fam."  The song is off his critically acclaimed EP "Talking My Sh*t [T.M.S.] and has proved to be an instant classic based on the skillful word play and delivery executed by both emcees.

"The Zone Fam" collectively consists of 4 emcees, the two previously mentioned in addition to Thugga and Verbal Assassin (VA), who hails from South Africa.  The group are led by Zambian Hip Hop Veteran "The Holstar" who's definitely earned his stamp and is on his way to attaining a title in the Hop Hop hall of fame.

The Zone Fam have released countless hits and are currently working on their debut album.  I'm proud to  say we rep the same city, #Berg City [L.S.K.].  Stay tuned for more from the Zone Fam.

HipHop Tranny Tells All: Claims He Had A 2-Year Relationship with Rapper Chingy, and Relations with Other Entertainers.

Sidney Starr [Born Sidney T. Favors]

Sidney Starr Music Video Debut:  "I'm Here Now" [Kat Stacks Diss]
BIRTH CERTIFICATE SHOWN AT END OF VIDEO.

Tran-sexual hiphop "diva" (born a man) Sidney Starr came out the woodwork and pulled a "Kat Stacks," dropping names and exposing which entertainers she got "up-close and personal" with.  This is quite disturbing to say the least. She's really...he's real dirty for this one.

Some of the entertainers who ALLEGEDLY had "relations" with Sidney Starr include the following;
  • Lil' Wayne and Chingy (2 year relationship), and has "links to" [#WhateverThatMeans] Bow Wow, Omarion, Soulja Boy (#BigSurpriseThere), Ludacris, and Twista to name a few.
The issue that raises eyebrows is the claim that Sidney Starr allegedly told certain rappers his true gender, and they were okay with the situation..#WOWZERS!!

Starr stated he would rather keep most names a secrete and is  not interested in a book deal because that's not the type of image he is trying to put out.

INTERVIEW: STARR CONFIRMS 2-YEAR RELATIONSHIP WITH RAPPER CHINGY.

New Breakthrough: Marijuana Soda??

California native Clay Butler is the topic of conversation for the development of a marijuana-based soft drink.  The soda contains THC, the euphoric chemical found in marijuana.  The drinks are available only with a prescription from a doctor and are said to be an alternative source of "medical marijuana."

The drink of course is intended to be used as "medicine only" and suppliers are concerned about the potential for abuse, especially if the product tastes "too good."  Thus far, the sodas come in 5 flavors.

Controversy surrounds this product in the sense that it raises concerns as to how safely marijuana can be blended with liquids. Butler has had a difficult time finding a US manufacturer willing to make bottle caps for his drinks so he's decided to turn to China for help.

RealOrFake: Obama Gets Mad, kicks Door Open!!!!

#ROTF: I came across this video while surfing the internet.  President Obama makes a memorable exit following a press conference.  Much debate is stirring as to the authenticity of the footage.  Is it real or fake? Honestly I don't know and personally I can't tell but nonetheless it's still funny lol.

Detox Certified: Shady/Aftermath Strikes Again.

L to R: Cashis, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Eminem.

"Syllables" [Explicit Content]

Yes indeed, the Shady/Aftermath camp strikes again, with a little help from hiphop heavyweight Jay-Z.  The collaboration was leaked January 2011 and is stated to be a track off the long awaited Detox LP.  The song also features former Shady Records soldier, Stat Quo.

The song discusses the current state of hiphop, exposing the lack of creativity plaguing the industry.  The seamless transition from emcee to emcee keeps the listener's head bopping and any hiphop head will certainly appreciate the effort put forth by each of these lyrical poets (keep in mind the track is an old recording that just leaked).

The song talks about the downfall of true lyricism and the unnecessarily over-use of "catchy" hooks and music gaining airplay based on beats and "dances," not necessarily due to the rappers' delivery or talent.  This collab definitely sets the tone and gives every Dr. Dre fan something to look forward to.

REFLECTION: Dre is by far my favorite producer and one of my favorite rappers (though all his songs are #GhostWritten).  I've been waiting for Detox for far too long and I think everyone agrees with me when I say #It'sBoutTime!!!!! And Jay got off,  looks like he's been holding a grudge since Em tore him a new one on "Renegade" #JustSaying.

Aaliyah Biopic and New CD Scheduled for 2011.

Left: Aaliyah Dana Haughton;  Right: Keisha Chante.

Throwback track: "Fallen" ft. Ex-Boyfriend Drizzy Drake.

A biopic detailing the short-lived life of R&B sensation Aaliyah is reported to have began filming around March of 2010.  No official release date has been set but the movie is scheduled to drop sometime in 2011 and is said to carry an $80 million production price tag.  Aaliyah's life met a tragic end on August 25th, 2001 following a plane crash while on her way back from shooting a music video in Jamaica.  She was 22 when she passed.

Canadian singer Keisha Chante (pictured Right) will be starring in the much anticipated biopic.  It has been reported that the movie's production will be carried out by Warner Brothers Films and will be directed by Bill Condon, producer of "Dreamgirls" and "The Twilight Saga."

Rumor has it that the movie will hold nothing back, as it will also document the singer's controversial marriage to R. Kelly (Kelly was 27 while Aaliyah was 15 at the time).  Nothing much has been divulged in relation to the upcoming CD.

REFLECTION: Personally I'm a huge  fan of her work and can't wait for the movie and the CD to drop.  Let's see if Keisha can deliver, clearly they look alike so I see why she was chosen for the part. #PatientlyWaiting.
